Ahtahkakoop man charged in connection with P.A. break-in

For the second time in less than a month, a Prince Albert resident has awoken to find a stranger in their home.

Early Wednesday morning, the Prince Albert Police Service responded to a break and enter at a residence in the 700 Block of 13 St. W. The complainant told police she had found an unknown man in their residence, holding her purse. The complainant attempted to get her purse back and the suspect fled. 

On arrival at the home, officers observed the suspect inside the complainant’s vehicle and said he fled from police on foot. Police Service Dog Daxa helped locate the suspect who was arrested in a yard of a residence in the 1400 Block of 6th Ave. W.

Robert McAdam, a 30-year-old man from Ahtahkakoop, has been charged with break and enter, assault, possession of a break-in instrument, obstruction, attempted theft of a motor vehicle and breach of court order. The accused was scheduled to make a court appearance Friday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.
