Prince Albert’s local news and on-air personalities celebrated Miracle Treat Day Thursday with tasty frozen treats from Dairy Queen. The staff at paNOW and the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group enjoyed a DQ Blizzard Thursday to celebrate the 16th annual fundraising event, which supports the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Donations to Miracle Treat Day will be accepted all day Thursday, and all proceeds from the sale of DQ Blizzards across Saskatchewan will go toward the new children’s hospital in Saskatoon.

Last year, Dairy Queen locations across the province helped raise $258,000 through Miracle Treat Day. Construction on the new Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital is nearly complete with the new facility scheduled to open late in 2019.
