Miracle Treat Day: treat yourself for a great cause

Aug 9, 2018 | 8:00 AM

This year marks Dairy Queen’s 16th annual Miracle Treat Day, in support of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.

All proceeds from Dairy Queen Blizzards sold across Saskatchewan Aug. 9 will be donated in support of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. Sash Broda, manager of development and engagement with the hospital, said Miracle Treat Day is always a highlight of the year.

“It’s great. Dairy Queens are all across the province,” Broda said. “All of the proceeds from their blizzards come to our foundation and help us make a difference for kids right now, so it’s been a really vital program. We are super excited about it and we look forward to it every year.”

Dairy Queen has raised over $135 million in support of sick and injured children across North America since 1984, the year their partnership first began with The Children’s Miracle Network. This includes $258 thousand last year alone, across 43 Dairy Queen locations.
