UPDATE: Flooding on highway south of Spiritwood subsides

Update: RCMP said as of 11:44 a.m., the highway is unrestricted and open for travel.

Flooding has caused issues on the highway south of Spiritwood.

RCMP reported early Sunday that the flooding had occured on Highway #378 between Rabbit Lake and Spiritwood (between Crescent Beach and Shady Bay).

Motorists were being advised to use an alternate route to avoid the area.

Department of Highways was aware of the situation.
