Champion Predators hold awards banquet

The Prince Albert Predators officially wrapped up their Prairie Gold Lacrosse League junior title winning season on Saturday night with their annual awards banquet.

The big winner of the awards was graduating captain Brendan Beaulac, who took home the Most Valuable Player and King of Loosies honours. For those not on top of their lacrosse lingo, the “King of Loosies” is awarded to players that acquire the most loose balls throughout the season.

Ashton Hall was named Offensive Player of the Year as well as receiving league awards of Playoff MVP and PGLL All-Star.

Here is the complete list of this year’s winners.

Spirit of Lacrosse—Kurtis Peifer (league All-Star selection, second in league scoring) and Evan Beaulac
Inspirational Player—Brody Low (assistant captain, graduating player) 
Most Sportsmanlike Player—Nick Chokan 
Rookie Of The Year—Kale Amundrud 
Defensive Player of the Year—Travis Dryka (assistant captain)  
Offensive Player of the Year—Ashton Hall (assistant captain, playoff MVP, scoring leader, PGLL All-Star)
King of Loosies (most loose balls)—Brendan Beaulac (captain, PGLL All-Star selection, graduating player)
Most Improved Player—Duncan Fetch (PGLL All-Star)
Most Valuable Player—Brendan Beaulac
