Optimist Club announces winner of annual raffle

The local Optimist Club announced the winner of their annual $5,000 travel raffle.

Jerry Aspvik won the draw on June 10, but instead of a travel voucher, Aspvik chose to take $4,000 in cash.

Proceeds from the raffle and other Optmist efforts benefit youth and community projects in Prince Albert.

Recently, the club donated $67,500 for improvements to ball diamonds at Prime Ministers Park in advance of the Jr. Men’s World Softball Championships, and made an $11,000 donation to Westview School for the purchase of brand new Chrome Books for students.
