Silver Hills Golf Resort opens for season today

Another course has opened for the season.

Starting today at noon, golfers can add Silver Hills Golf Resort to the growing list of local courses which have opened for play. Co-owner Ted Dewhurst said every hole will be open today.

“We wintered well,” he told paNOW. “We had a lot less water than last year.”

Dewhurst said the course is in excellent shape to start the season, although the recent weather meant they are opening roughly a week later than they did in 2017.

Golfers can expect some excellent weather for play this weekend. While a chance of showers is in the forecast Friday, Environment Canada predicts sunny weather with temperatures above 20°C on Saturday and Sunday.
