The Prince Albert Raiders announced on Wednesday they signed defenceman Braydon Clark to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

The Raiders originally selected Clark in the third round, 47th overall in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft. This year, Clark scored three goals, five points and had 114 penalty minutes in 21 games with the Valley West Hawks in the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League. He also appeared in two Junior A games with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

“Braydon is a good, young, mobile defenceman that plays a hard-nose style of game,” Raiders general manager Curtis Hunt said in a team statement. “He plays with the kind of intensity that will make him a fan favourite here in Prince Albert. We are excited to get him signed.”

The signing makes Clark the fifth player of the Raiders’ 2017 draft class to sign. Kaiden Guhle, Cohner Saleski, Ozzy Wiesblatt and Jakob Brook have all also signed with the Raiders.
