Prince Albert Raiders’ captain Curtis Miske will add another chapter to his captain’s log. After graduating from the Western Hockey League with the Raiders, Miske will start his professional hockey career with the Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Miske signed an ECHL Standard Player Contract with the Solar Bears on Friday.

“I think this is an awesome opportunity for me,” Miske said in a Raiders’ issued statement. “It’s always been my dream to play pro hockey and I’m super excited to get started.”

Miske played 107 regular season and playoff games with the Raiders since joining the team in the 2017 trade deadline, scoring 35 goals and 56 assists. He also led the Raiders in postseason scoring with 10 points in seven games this year. Miske had 151 points in 259 WHL games including his totals with the Spokane Chiefs.
