Prince Albert Police arrested a man and a woman after finding suspected methamphetamine during a traffic stop Friday evening.

A patrol officer stopped a van in the 1100-block of River St. W. shortly before 9 p.m., but after the driver pulled over police said he fled the vehicle and ran into a nearby residence. The officer approached the female passenger of the van, who was arrested for breaching court-ordered conditions and was found to have 3.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine after a search.

The female passenger identified the male who fled from the van, police said, and additional officers arrived and entered the home. The male suspect was found hiding inside and was charged with breaking and entering as he did not have permission to enter the residence.

The 24-year-old woman was charged with possession of methamphetamine and breach of court order, while the 30-year-old man was charged with breaking-and-entering along with breaching a court order. Both suspects were scheduled to make their first court appearances Tuesday.
