Bears get back to SFMAAAHL finals, eliminate Hounds

The Prince Albert Northern Bears are heading back to the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League finals. They defeated the Notre Dame Hounds in four games which will set up a rematch of last year’s final between the Bears and the Saskatoon Stars. The Bears swept last year’ series to win the provincial finals.
The Bears stormed out of the gates on Saturday in Wilcox by leading 3-0 after the first period, but held on to win 3-2 to eliminate the Hounds.
Hannah Koroll, Kailee Peppler and Alli Soyko all scored for the Bears in the opening period.
With clinching a finals berth, both Prince Albert Midget AAA teams will be competing in the league finals. The Prince Albert Mintos swept the Regina Pat Canadians on Wednesday and will face the Notre Dame Hounds in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League finals.
