Missing inmates found

RCMP have confirmed inmates who went missing in Dec. and Jan. have been located, and are back behind bars.

Officers confirmed Frederick Frank Frenchman, who went missing from the Little Red River reserve in October of 2017, was apprehended and appeared in court on Dec. 27. Frenchman was handed a $200 fine and an additional 90 days tacked onto his original sentence.

Frenchman escaped while under supervision of correctional facility guards while on escort from the Saskatoon Correctional Centre. He was serving a 1,048 day sentence for aggravated assault.

Pierceland RCMP also confirmed an escaped inmate has now been found.
