Police arrest hotel stabbing suspect

A call of an intoxicated person turned violent for police this weekend.

Early Sunday morning, officers arrived at a hotel in the 3600 Block of Second Ave. W. to remove a man from the building. When officers arrived, they found two people stabbed by this person. A man was stabbed in his back and head area, and a woman was injured on the hand.

A quarrel between a man named Skylar Kitchener and the male victim turned physical and escalated to a stabbing. The woman was injured trying to intervene. Kitchener allegedly then left the hotel.

Police Dog Daxa and Const. Kelsey Bighetty began a track of the suspect who was located hiding between a building and a shed in the 3100 Block of Fourth Ave. W. He was arrested without incident.
