Nine people were arrested after a raid by Prince Albert’s Integrated Street Enforcement Team turned up a huge assortment of drugs and weapons Jan. 9.

The integrated unit, which is comprised of members of the Prince Albert Police Service and RCMP, executed a search warrant at a home in the 1,200-block of 15th St. W. early Tuesday afternoon, Police Spokesperson Alanna Adamko said. After arresting the nine occupants of the home, Adamko said police seized a 16-gauge sawed-off shotgun, two .22-calibre sawed-off rifles, a BB pistol, body armour, bear spray, nunchuks and an assortment of ammunition and magazines. Police also seized 1.6 grams of cocaine, 1.3 grams of methamphetamine, and an unspecified amount of currency.

After a thorough investigation, Adamko said police laid charges against three of the suspects. Two female suspects, Leigh Takakenew, 27, and Peggy Fehr, 21, and a male suspect, Lonnie Eashappie, 23, are facing multiple firearms charges and possession of property obtained by crime. All three made their first court appearances yesterday, Adamko said.

The suspects are presumed innocent at this stage.
