Raiders trade Sanders to Calgary

Jan 8, 2018 | 4:11 PM

The Prince Albert Raiders have secured a sixth-round pick in the 2019 draft after trading 1998-born goaltender Nicholas Sanders to the Calgary Hitmen.

Sanders, who was born in Calgary, joined the Raiders in October of 2016, making 38 appearances over two seasons. The 6’2” Sanders accumulated an 8-13-3-2 record in Prince Albert with a 0.888 save percentage before being reassigned in October.

The Raiders will be in action this weekend, taking on the two top East Division teams on home ice. Prince Albert takes on the Swift Current Broncos Friday, before hosting the Moose Jaw Warriors Saturday. Both contests start at 7 p.m.
