The Prince Albert Venice House Pirates kicked off the Bantam AA Tournament they’re hosting with two high-scoring victories.

They beat the Winnipeg Warriors 6-3 Thursday night at the Art Hauser Centre, after a 5-3 victory over the Regina Pat Blues at the Kinsmen earlier in the afternoon.

Pirates skipper Gabe Klassen scored twice and added an assist in the win over the Warriors. Nathan Flodell had a goal and an assist. Ashton Ferster and Chase Freidt-Mohr also scored for the Pirates.

With their two Thursday wins, the Pirates will wait until Friday evening for their next game when the teams are seeded for the playoffs.
