Long-running Sask newspaper closing its doors
One of the longest running newspapers in Saskatchewan, and part of a publishing group that owns the Prince Albert Daily Herald, is closing its doors.
The Moose Jaw Times-Herald has announced it will publish its last edition on Dec. 7.
The newspaper has been around since 1889, almost 130 years.
The owner of the publication, Roger Holmes, was quoted by the Regina Leader Post as saying it was “a sad day,” telling staff the paper was folding for economic reasons.
