Sanders, Sottile trimmed from Raiders roster

The Prince Albert Raiders continued to make moves today, announcing goaltender Nicholas Sanders and forward Brock Sottile were released.

On the heels of last night’s acquisition of forward Brett Leason from the Tri-City Americans, today’s moves bring the team’s active roster down to 23 players, and leaves them with Ian Scott and Curtis Meger as the two goaltenders.

“Both players have been great examples of what it means to be a Raider,” General Manager Curtis Hunt said in a media release. “We wish them the best in their hockey careers.”

Sanders has not yet indicated where he will play next, as he is now eligible to sign at the Junior A level. Acquired in a trade early last season from Tri-City, Sanders appeared in 38 games over two seasons with Prince Albert.
