Bantam AA’s capture gold

The Pirates were gold medal winners at the Graham Tuer Bantam AA Challenge tournament in Regina this weekend. They defeated Swift Current Broncos 3-2 in the final

The tournament had 32 teams from Manitoba, Saskatchewan , Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state.

Two members of the Pirates, Gabe Klassen and Marek Schneider were named to the first all star team. Gabe Klassen was awarded tournament MVP

The pirates defeated Saskatoon stallions (6-2), Seattle Junior Admirals (6-4) and the Winnipeg Sharks (4-2) in pool play.  They then defeated Humboldt Broncos (6-3) in quarterfinal and Lloydminster Bobcats (5-1) in semifinal to earn birth in the A final vs Swift Current.
