Prince Albert’s Tristan Moran earned a silver medal at the World Youth Archery Championships this weekend in Rosario, Argentina.

Moran anchored the three-man Canadian national team, consisting of Calgary’s Cole Beres and Jordan Adachi from Cranbrook, B.C. that earned a silver medal in the team event. They fell to Team Mexico in the gold medal match on Saturday to end up with the silver, after defeating South Africa and Great Britain.

“These young men worked hard and won some great matches to earn their medal, we are very proud as is the rest of the Canadian archery community,” Tristan’s mother Stacey Moran said.

In the individual events, Moran finished in the Top 10, placing in ninth out of 53 archers. Moran beat competitors from Slovakia and Denmark before a loss to Hungary.
