Police are searching for a man they say escaped custody in Turnor Lake today, July 25.

A warrant is out for Gavin Patrick Montgrand, 19, who escaped from the Turnor Lake RCMP detachment after being arrested. Immediate attempts to find Montgrand were unsuccessful according to a press release from the RCMP.

RCMP believe Montgrand to be in the Prince Albert or Saskatoon areas, although he is from Turnor Lake.

He’s described as Indigenous, approximately 6’ tall with medium complexion and short dark hair. Montgrand has a recent scar with stitches on the right side of his face above his cheek bone. He was last seen wearing a black sweater with black jeans, black high-top shoes and carrying a bag.
