The WHL has released its 2017-18 season calendar, and with it the Raiders' first game of the season.
The team will play Friday, Sept. 22, 7 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre against the Moose Jaw Warriors, beginning a home-and-home series with their East Division rival. This is second year in a row the Raiders haven't started the season against the Saskatoon Blades, which has been tradition. The team will close out the regular season with a home-and-home series against the Blades at the Art Hauser Centre on Friday, March 16. The series concludes the following night in Saskatoon.
Special this season, fans have an opportunity to win a trip to the west coast. Anyone who attends all five games in the B.C. roadtrip series, and has the stamps on their 'passport' to prove it, will be entered to win a trip for two to Vancouver, which includes flight, accommodations, and tickets to a Vancouver Canucks game. The B.C. division visits Prince Albert starting Tuesday, Oct. 17 against the Vancouver Giants, Wednesday, Oct. 25 against the Victoria Royals, Friday, Dec. 8 against the Kamloops Blazers, Saturday, Dec. 15 against the Kelowna Rockets, and Friday, Jan. 26 against the Prince George Cougars.
The longest home stand for the Raiders this season is three stretches of four games.
Season tickets for the 2017-18 season are now available.
