Gymnastics club honours its best

The Prince Albert Aerials gymnastics club honoured the past competitive season’s most successful athletes, and most dedicated coaches and volunteers. The evening, held at the Rock and Iron Sports Bar, presented 24 awards after a steak dinner.

Program Director Mike Amouri said the club had a banner year. Recreational participation was at an all time high, the club organized and executed the first artistic Special Olympics event in Canada, the club qualified an athlete to Elite Canada for the first time in history, and sent eight athletes on team Saskatchewan assignments.
