Fourth man charged in La Ronge restaurant owner’s death

La Ronge RCMP have arrested a fourth man in connection with the death of restauranteur Simon Grant. 

Mathew Nagy-Charles, 18, was arrested without incident in Air Ronge, this morning at roughly 8:45 a.m.

He is charged with one count of accessory after the fact. 

Nagy-Charles will appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on May 26, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.

RCMP said Simon Grant, 64, was assaulted by masked men after hours at his restaurant, Louisiana’s Bar-B-Que. The perpetrators fled the scene with cash, and Grant was airlifted to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon where he succumbed to his injuries Easter Monday.

Austin Bird, 18,  and two other suspects, a 17 and 14-year-old who cannot be named under the Youth Justice Act, each face charges of second degree murder, armed robbery, using an imitation firearm, wearing a disguise and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
