On April 8, at just after 5 p.m., Île-à-la-Crosse RCMP responded to multiple reports of an armed robbery at a local business.

A masked suspect reportedly entered the business and threatened an employee with what appeared to be a handgun. The suspect fled in a vehicle with an unknown amount of cash. RCMP located the suspected vehicle a short time later and conducted a high-risk take-down. The lone male occupant of the vehicle was arrested without incident.

Two days later, RCMP arrested three additional suspects at a residence in Île-à-la-Crosse in relation to the same robbery. After further investigation, two of the suspects were also charged in connection with an armed home-invasion and robbery that had occurred in the community that same day.

In total, four adult males are facing multiple charges in relation to these two incidents, including robbery, break and enter and assault with a weapon.
