A body on the street in North Central Regina early this morning, has police describing the death as suspicious.

Staff Sargeant Darcy Schatz said that just after 5 a.m., officers on a routine patrol saw the body laying near the intersection of Eighth Avenue and Rae Street.

“Investigation shows this male to be deceased, it's considered suspicious at this time, and members of our major crimes unit and forensic identification unit have been called in to continue to investigation.”

Schatz said he believes the body is that of a younger man, but police can't say much more just yet.
