Police confirm shots fired at house, suspect in custody

Prince Albert Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting in the 1100 block of 12th St. W., shortly before 4:00 am on Thursday.

In a press release, the police confirmed a 23-year-old male was arrested in connection with the shooting and is now in custody for a number of firearm and criminal code offences. The suspect will make his first court appearance on Friday, August 26.

An investigation is currently underway. At this time, police believe the residence was targeted by the shooting and no other buildings were damaged. No one was injured as a result of the gunfire.

PaNOW spoke with residents in the area, as well as an individual at the targeted home. No one wanted to speak on the record, but multiple individuals confirmed the reports of gunfire between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Thursday.
