Update: Stabbing on the James Smith First Nation

A 32-year-old man from Prince Albert is facing charges in connection to a weekend stabbing on the James Smith First Nation.

Curtis Brian Black is scheduled to appear at Melfort Provincial Court on Tuesday. 

Black is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breaching a probation order.

Saturday evening, Melfort RCMP responded to a call on the reserve.
