The latest election poll from Mainstreet Research suggests Saskatchewan voters do care what candidates write on their social media page.

The survey was done on Tuesday with 1,577 people, one day after the NDP announced new candidates to replace four who had been dropped or resigned due to inappropriate comments on social media. The poll found 59 per cent of people said they would be less likely to vote for a candidate if they made offensive remarks on social media.

The Sask. Party continue their strong lead in the poll, with 49 per cent of people saying they would support the party. That’s up from 47 per cent the week before.

The NDP, meanwhile, has 31 per cent support, down two per cent.
