SaskParty support jumps as Wall talks Energy East

The SaskParty government has gained back ground in the latest election poll done by Mainstreet Research.

The poll released on Thursday says nearly half of those surveyed – 49 per cent – would support the SaskParty in the April 4 vote.

Support for the NDP, meanwhile, has slipped to 28 per cent report, down from 30 per cent the week before.

“For Saskatchewan’s NDP the national conversation around Energy East could not have come at a worst time,” Quito Maggi, president of Mainstreet Research said. “Brad Wall has been assertive on the issues and Quebec’s recently announced court challenge, he looks and acts very much like a statesman for the western interests. Though Cam Broten has expressed support for Energy East, currently the visuals are of Wall at the national table in Vancouver.”
