La Ronge Ice Wolves crowned SJHL champions

The La Ronge Ice Wolves are the SJHL champions for a second year in a row.

In front of sold out crowd of 1339, the Ice Wolves won the Credit Union Cup defeating the Yorkton Terriers 3-1 Tuesday.

Logan Herauf and Dayton Fossum staked the Ice Wolves to an early lead. Yorkton's Robbie Ciolfi would make it 2-1 late in the first, but that's as close as the Terriers would come.

Travis Eggum would add another in the second and Adam Bartko shutout Yorkton in the second and third periods to preserve the victory.

The Ice Wolves will now play for the Anavet Cup against the Portage Terriers.
