Students at Arthur Pechey School are currently collecting clothing and toys for those in need.

Grade 5 Teacher Kimberely Semenchuk and students from the Student Leadership Council are spearheading the initiative, and will continue to collect donations at the school until Dec. 17.

“The whole idea is to do a winter clothing drive to keep our neighbours safe and warm this holiday season,” said Semenchuk.

All of the food and most of the toys that are donated will be given to the Salvation Army. Semenchuck said they will also donate some of the toys to Victoria Hospital.
