Sask. Blue Jay fans break the bank for live playoff baseball

As the Toronto Blue Jays take the field Thursday for their first playoff game in 22 years, a few from Saskatoon will be soaking up the experience.
 
Evan Folden and two of his friends made the trip down to Toronto for games one and two.  Folden was just 10-years-old the last time the Blue Jays were in the playoffs and he said it’s been tough to contain the excitement.
 
“We’ve been texting back and forth the last few days talking about how we can’t sleep,” said Folden.
 
As Folden gets ready to take in the electric atmosphere, there’s one person who was left back in in Saskatoon, his wife.
 
“My wife and I were actually married in 2008 and one of our wedding presents was to go to a Jays game,” said Folden.  “Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for us to go.”
 
“Now I get to do all the things I was supposed to do on my honeymoon.  I get to hit up the Hockey Hall of Fame and go watch Jays’ games with some buddies. My wife is a little jealous.”
 
Matt Morrison is also there for game one and he said the whole city has Jays’ fever.
 
“The minute we stepped off the plane there were a lot of Jays fans around,” Morrison said.  “From young to old, the city is pretty blue right now.”
 
Morrison initially booked the trip to see the Toronto Maple Leafs play. Getting to see the Blue Jays in the playoffs is an added bonus.
