Apr 5, 2015 | 3:47 PM

Prince Albert police are looking to identify a driver after a hit and run involving a toddler in a stroller on Good Friday.

Prince Albert Police Service released further information on the accident on Sunday confirming a witness’s account of seeing a stroller in the 1900 block of Sixth Avenue East after the 7 p.m. accident on Friday.

The child, in the stroller, was three years old, according to Parkland Ambulance, and was taken to Victoria Hospital by ambulance as a precaution. The child was treated and released with no notable injuries, police wrote in a follow-up on Sunday.

Police are investigating what happened, but confirm they’re in the process of finding the driver’s identity.

They are looking into reports that the driver fled the scene on foot.

On top of that incident, police responded to 146 calls for service over the weekend.

Those calls were largely related to evictions, disturbances, and intoxication and led to 20 arrests.

Parkland Ambulance recounts the long weekend

Multiple people were assaulted in Prince Albert between Good Friday and Sunday.

The first that Parkland Ambulance paramedics respond to was a 27-year-old woman who’d received minor injuries in the 800 block of 10th Avenue East around 5 p.m. on Friday.

The second assault brought paramedics out to Muskoday First Nation after 7 p.m. on Saturday, where a female was hurt and taken to hospital.

On Sunday after 3 a.m. an ambulance travelled to the 500 block of 28th Street East to treat a 24-year-old woman who was not hurt badly.

A second weekend pedestrian accident

In addition to the toddler incident, Parkland Ambulance responded to a male who was hit by a vehicle while walking at the corner of Central Avenue and 12th Street. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
