RCMP seek public’s help in snowmobile accident

Feb 1, 2015 | 7:35 AM

Carrot River RCMP are on the lookout for a woman who may have been in a snowmobile accident.

On Saturday, just after noon, officers received a call from a woman who said her name was Cassandra, although no last name was given.

She claimed to have misdialed while trying to reach her grandmother, Katherine Pierce, to tell her that she had run a snowmobile into a tree about four miles outside of Carrot River.

Officials said during the phone call she told officers she was disorientated and with her sister, and could not remember her grandmother’s phone number.
