James Patrick back with Saskatchewan Roughriders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed import safety James Patrick to a contract extension. Financial terms were not released.

Patrick led the CFL in 2010 with nine interceptions for 195 yards and one touchdown. He also had 68 defensive tackles, seven special team tackles, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.

“I'm happy to be here,” said Patrick.  “It was a great offer.  Obviously I want to be here,  I took it (the contract offer) and I'm happy about it.”

Patrick, who joined the Riders in 2008, has played in 53 regular season games for the Green and White. In that time, he has added 136 defensive tackles, 31 special team tackles, 13 interceptions for a totaled 253 yards and one touchdown and four fumble recoveries.
