BOB awards to be unveiled Thursday

Congratulations paNOW.com readers! You were given the challenge of nominating and voting for the Best of the Best people, places and things in Prince Albert and you rose to the challenge in a way that not even paNOW.com anticipated.

Voting for the Best of the Best nominees closed Sunday at midnight with almost 400,000 votes, making the BOBS the biggest, most successful reader survey ever conducted in Prince Albert. Due to the response, this is truly the People’s Choice Awards of local excellence!

Currently the votes are being tabulated and winners in each category will be announced Thursday at 8 a.m.

Over the past six weeks paNOW.com readers first built the ballot by nominating their favorites and then voted for what they believe are the Best of the Best in over 200 categories with selection from everything to best place to take a date to best agricultural supplies to best artist. After nominations closed, reader participation actually increased, with voting in the categories becoming increasingly intense in the last days of the contest.

The date of the Best of the Best party, which is sure to be the greatest party of the year in Prince Albert, will be July 8 at the Art Hauser Centre.
