Dance festival continues to ‘step up’

Apr 16, 2014 | 11:56 AM

An idea that began over a decade ago, by parents wanting to have their own dance competition, has blossomed into a very successful event.

The 11th annual Prince Albert Festival of Dance was held last weekend at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre.

Upwards of 500 dancers from across the province, all between the ages of 6 and 18, competed in the event.

The festival featured a wide variety of dance disciplines, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre, and tap. A special workshop was also held.
