Stuff the Bus campaign fills three city buses for Saskatoon’s hungry

Dec 14, 2013 | 11:28 AM

City buses are normally stuffed with people, not food, but that's what Rock 102's Stuff the Bus campaign was all about on Friday.

Located at the Attridge Drive and 8th Street Co-ops the crew filled three buses with donations for the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre.

“We ended up filling up the (bus) on 8th Street. They were ordering a second one to come because initially it was just too heavy, too much weight, that they couldn't safely drive the bus down to the food bank,” Rock 102'S Watson said, adding he and co-host Shack were in the bus for 12 hours as it started to fill up.

“They just continually had people coming in with more food and donations and it got to the point where we almost couldn't see out the windows because it was so jam-packed in that bus.”
