UPDATED: Woman faces charges after mid-morning accident

The driver of a car involved in a single-vehicle accident in the East Hill area on Sunday morning now faces charges in connection to the incident.

The accident closed a portion of 22nd Street East at Branion Drive in Prince Albert. Her car went off of the road and crashed into a tree near the intersection.

Members of the Prince Albert Police Service, Parkland Ambulance and the Prince Albert Fire Department attended the scene after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident with possible injuries. The report came in just before 9 a.m.

According to Parkland Ambulance, paramedics who attended the scene reported that the 26-year-old Prince Albert woman driving the car was not injured. After she was treated, the police took her into custody.
