PHOTOS: Plethora of skills on display at fall craft show

Nov 10, 2013 | 7:44 AM

The abundant skills of Prince Albert and area’s craftsmen and hobbyists are on display at the Prince Albert Exhibition Centre this weekend.

The Rotary Club’s Fall Craft sale certainly wasn’t hindered by the recently-fallen snow in the city.

The fruits of many exhibitioners’ labours were spread out at their tables throughout the building.

One man and his wife displayed their two hobbies. The wife’s sewing, and the husband’s was creating furniture and decorative pieces from steel.

Many trends were evident in crocheted pieces and other handmade winter accessories.

One knitter explained that she has made fox toques for some time, but the recent popularity of a music video has boosted her sales of those items.

Other tables featured homemade goodies, quilts, holiday decorations, and a variety of home-based businesses.

The sale started on Saturday, running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and continues on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is $3 and there is a canteen on site.
