Prince Albert Raiders fall to the Regina Pats in shoot out

The Prince Albert Raiders fell 3-2 to the Regina Pats in a shoot out on Tuesday at the Art Hauser Centre.

After a scoreless first period, the Raiders opened the scoring 29 seconds into the second period. Jamie Tucker fed a pass to up Justin Maylan who went in 2 on 1 with Igor Revenko. Maylan fed a pass across to Revenko who one timed the puck past Pats goaltender Matt Hewitt.

Jordan Weal would score for the Pats before the period was over to tie the game at 1 heading into the second.

Regina would strike again at 11:59 of the 3rd to give the Pats a 2-1 lead.

Justin Maylan would collect his 2nd point of the game and tie at 2 when he tapped in the rebound of an Antoine Corbin point shot to force the game into overtime. 

The Raiders successfully killed off a penalty in the extra frame to keep it tied at 2 and the game would head into a shoot out.

Igor Revenko was the only goal scorer for the Raiders in the shoot out while Jordan Weal and Shayne Neigum would score for the Pats to give them the 3-2 victory.
