Local companies deal with OH&S violations

Two local companies are facing fines.

Elkridge Resort near Waskesiu and Harasyn Bros. Stucco in Prince Albert are both guilty of safety violations under Saskatchewan's Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Elkridge is looking at $14,000 for violations including failure to ensure workers are supervised and failure to notify OHS division of a dangerous occurrence.

Harasyn Bros. Stucco has to pay $2,500 for violations surrounding scaffolding and not following a stop work order.

Occupational health and safety does about 4,000 worksite inspections every year.
