Marauders capture provincial bronze over Swift Current

The St. Mary Marauders won the 3A Girls Soccer Provincial bronze medal match, beating the Swift Current Ardens 3-0 Saturday at Prime Minister’s Park.
The Marauders lead 1-0 at the half thanks to a brilliant goal by midfielder Danielle McGunigal, finding the top corner from outside the 18-yard box.
The Marauders found an insurance marker and a third goal in the second half from strikers Teigan Fiset and Taryn McDonald.
The Carlton Crusasders also made it to the final day of provincials, losing the consolation final 2-1 to Saskatoon Evan Hardy. Morgan Braaten had the lone Crusader goal.
