P.A. golfer Wormworth ready to defend Ladies Lobstick title
Prince Albert golfer Karly Wormworth did not capture a Lobstick title as a junior in five tries, although she came mighty close with two second place finishes.
But it took Wormworth only one try to get a first place at the Ladies Lobstick last year in Waskesiu, defeating North Battleford’s Deanna Klusa in the Championship Flight final match.
“It was awesome. I think I surprised myself a little bit last year, you know… I knew that I loved that golf course and I always played well historically (there),” said Wormworth, 25. “Last summer, I didn’t play a whole lot either, I was busy working and having a summer student life.
“It’s always such a great tournament. It has its own factors that are independent of anything else.”
