Mintos on the brink of another title

The Prince Albert Mintos have opened a 2-0 lead in the best of five Saskatchewan Midget AAA hockey final with a 5-3 win over the Contacts in Saskatoon.

Rookie Adam Fauchoux scored twice in the opening frame to stake the Mintos to a 2-1 lead heading to the second period.  Defenseman and Raider prospect Sawyer Lange who was also named Minto player of the game also scored twice including a power play marker midway through the third period which stood up as the winner.

The Contacts came back twice from two goal deficits but Minto rookie Tad Kozun put the game on ice with an empty net goal with just 30 seconds left in regulation.
