MP John Baird insists funding announcements not connected to potential election

Waiting for a politician is like waiting for a bus, it seems: you wait forever and then they all come along at once.

Right in the middle of rampant election speculation come several major funding announcements for Saskatchewan.

There was barely a peep out of the Tory MPs during the stadium debate, but this week alone there has been roughly $90 million announced in spending for Saskatchewan.

Minister John Baird, who made one of the announcements in Regina, claimed it has nothing to do with the threat of an election.
