Ritzo in North Battleford court

A North Dakota man will spend his weekend in police custody after making a court appearance in North Battleford provincial court today.

Lon Patrick Ritzo, 64, was extradited from North Dakota to North Battleford, recently.

He is facing several sexual related offenses out of North Battleford and Saskatoon.

In 2006, North Battleford RCMP charged him with possession of child pornography and assault.

Ritzo also had warrants from the Saskatoon Police Service for charges of sexual assault, sexual interferences, sexual invitation to touch and uttering threats.

He has been in custody in Grand Forks, North Dakota since December of 2009.

Ritzo will be back in court on Monday when a bail hearing is expected to be set.
