Teachers readying for strike vote
A deal between the Saskatchewan government and the Saskatchewan Teacher’s Federation has yet to be reached and the clock is ticking down to a strike vote.
The union and their provincial employer are stuck in labour negotiations over a potential wage increase.
The main issue is the union request for a 12 per cent wage increase, with the government countering at five per cent.
Gwen Dueck with the Saskatchewan Teacher's Federation said the increase is a fair request.
