Attempted murder charge laid in northern stabbing

A stabbing in La Loche has resulted in charges against a man from the community.
On Apr. 1 at approximately 4:30 a.m., La Loche RCMP were called to a residence in the community to investigate a stabbing.
The female victim, 15, was taken to the local medical clinic and from there was air lifted to hospital in Saskatoon, said the RCMP in a news release.
Jesse Montgrand, 20, is charged with attempted murder, uttering threats, break and enter and possession of a weapon. Montgrand is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
